A Cooperative Baptist Fellowship pastor was among about 50 clergy arrested at the Hart Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C., Jan. 29.

Attorney General Pam Bondi on Thursday announced that Nekima Levy Armstrong has been arrested in connection with the disruption of services at a church where a local official with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement serves as a pastor.

Operatives of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Unit of the Bayelsa State Police Command have arrested a Delta State–born pastor, Elijah Oro, over an alleged plot to assassinate a rival in the state.

First, the church discontinued an evening service after an ICE operation and then a ministry with a new state law. Then, ICE arrested its own members.
